Getting The Best Out Of Your Action Camera

November 6, 2014 By

Clever Chef Foodie FestOctober 2014 was a spectacular month. GoPro Entertainment received some great content in video and photos and there is much to share.

Fly fishing in Iceland to traveling the European Continent. Walking the lands in Asia to stunning images from North America, GoPro Hero users provided us exciting moments in their adventurous journeys. How about the BASEJumpers heartbeat caught on GoPro and those mud runs?

As GoPro enthusiasts, photographers and videographers shared their captured moments, they also shared the details on the settings they used with their GoPro Hero cameras. In many ways, this is fascinating. This allows and shows others what settings to try on their GoPro cameras and the different environments to try them on. When you take a moment and look at some of the entries we had for the month of October, you will also see some brilliant editing chops where many are now providing short documentary style videos.

Deep Powder Skiing & ThailandAnd, what about the Aerial footage? Wow!!! Stunning landscapes that GoPro users are capturing look awesome. The opportunity that you have now to get your own aerial device such as the DJI Phantom series products and many others that are available and affordable, totally enhance your videos.

It was because of this that we at GoPro Entertainment decided to launch or “Cinema” category. “Cinema” will bring you a new way to view original content and even get a chance to hear possibly new and original music as well. This is a growing experience where you can watch exciting stories from those all over the world, through GoPro Entertainment “Cinema”, as many build upon their production chops and storytelling in a documentary style movie video.

Apex Aperture2So for you, as you grow with your GoPro camera and build upon you media journey, below are few of the posts that we had in the month of October, that will show you how others use their GoPro camera along with a bit of detail on of their settings. We hope this will help you along your journey as you begin or continue to Capture Life’s Adventures With GoPro.

Why Can’t I Delete My Micro SD Memory Card Files?

August 12, 2014 By

GioPro photo of the day

Are you having problems deleting your files from your micro sd memory card? For a quick fix and a temporary solution to get you filming again with your GoPro camera, try using another adapter for your micro sd memeory card.

We purchased one of the GoPro memory card recommendations, the SanDisk ExtremeDCIM100GOPRO 64GB microSDXC (SDSDQXL-064G) memory card with adapter, and it works well. Transfer was fast and it was reliable. But, when we went to delete the files from the card, no go. Could not delete.

At that moment, we didn’t want to deal with the hassle of packing up the items and taking them back to the store for an exchange. We wanted to keep taking pictures but needed the space on our memory card. So in an act of desperation, we happened to have an off brand micro sd adapter and we thought, let’s give it a try. We placed the ScanDisk micro sd card into the off brand adapter and guess what, it worked. We were able to delete the files, create a lot of empty space and keep on filming.

Of course, this doesn’t explain why we could not delete the files from the card nor will we go into all the technical details on what to do when deleting files from your card is a problem. We just wanted to keep moving forward without hesitation and capturing great moments with our GoPro camera.

So here, we just simply want to share, just as you have multiple accessories for different environments, it might be a good idea just to keep around an extra micro sd adapter. You never know when a very low cost effective solution, can solve an immediate problem, so you can keep your filming production moving forward and taking those awesome pictures and videos, with your GoPro camera.
