Have you ever taken the hike from Salkantay to Machu Picchu? If not, now worries. Mathieu Van de Wille and some friends trekked this course and bring you some great footage from their GoPro camera.
The famous Salkantay Trek (or Salcantay Trek), named among the 25 best Treks in the World, by National Geographic Adventure Travel Magazine, is a trek open to everybody, with no limitation on spaces or permits (at least for now). Connecting the city of Mollepata, Cusco with Machu Picchu, the Salkantay Trek is an ancient and remote footpath located in the same region as the Inca Trail where massive snowcapped mountains collide with lush tropical rain forests.
Located less than fifty miles northwest of the city of Cusco in south central Peru by the Cordillera Vilcabamba and rising to 6271 meters above sea level (20574 ft) Mt. Salkantay is an outstanding glacier-capped summit worshipped for thousands of years by local indians. The name Salkantay is a quechua word meaning “Savage Mountain”.
It is usually a 5 day/4 night trek.

There’s nothing like sharing the thrill you get when riding a roller coaster at Disneyland, with your friends. Better yet, capturing the thrilling moment with your GoPro camera and sharing it to the world to see, is Grand. So being at the “Happiest Place on Earth” just gets happier…with a GoPro!
That’s what Xander Riga did when Xander and friends took on the challenge of tackling some of the adventurous rides that Disneyland had to offer. This is FUN!!!

Ruben and Jonathan took on the challenge of reaching Nevada’s highest mountain peak at 11,916 feet. The Mt. Charleston Peak.
Mt. Charleston (aka Charleston Peak) is the highest peak in southern Nevada, and one of the most popular hikes in the state. It is the 8th most prominent mountain in the U.S. with 8,259 feet of prominence. It’s also the most prominent mountain in Nevada. Less than an hour’s drive from Las Vegas, it provides desert dwellers with a dramatic change of scenery (big trees and alpine meadows) and a taste of strenuous high-altitude hiking. From the top, you get the expected panoramic view, with the Sierra Nevada on the horizon to the west and parts of Las Vegas visible to the southeast. The peak is served by two well-maintained trails — South Loop Trail and North Loop/Trail Canyon — which can be done together as a loop. This demanding round trip hike can be excruciating if you are out of shape, and it takes all day for the average hiker.
Ruben and Jonathan used the GoPro Hero3+ Black and tool still photos at 12MP wide and captured video at 1080p 60fps.
